11/03/21

Recently, Bertec equipment was featured on the national television program PBS NewsHour. The segment was focused on how sensors and rewiring nerves could help prosthetics feel and function like real limbs. For this story, the PBS NewsHour team spent time at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and observed how their talented team is working with veteran amputees to help them feel sensation in their prosthetic limbs.

In the beginning of the video, you can see the Bertec CDP system in action as the Cleveland VA team takes a patient with a prosthetic leg through an examination. The rest of the segment focuses on how it’s possible to rewire nerves in amputated limbs and leverage pressure sensors to help the patient feel again. Truly a magnificent achievement of modern medicine!
